January 2017

The Boyd Gallery is located in the McKoy-Boyd Building off the court square in historic downtown Newnan, Georgia. The building has been in the family for several generations, first belonging to "Miss" Rosalyn's parents, Herbert and Rosalyn McKoy who passed it to Rosalyn and her husband, David (AKA Old Boyd). For several decades, Old Boyd ran the family printing business, The Print Shoppe, out of the building as well as his editorial cartooning syndicate, Mark Morgan, Inc. Needless to say, the Boyd siblings grew up in the building. In 1995 Old Boyd and Miss Rosalyn closed The Print Shoppe at the dawn of the desktop revolution and rented the building out. The Boyd's are now back "home"! The building will serve as a gallery representing the family as well as serving as the office for Miss Rosalyn's chapter of the National League of Junior Cotillions. Old and Young Boyd will each have a studio space in the building, Bonne Boyd Bedingfield will host tastings for her cake company, Beautifully Baked by Bonne, and Rosalyn Moore Boyd McKoon will offer up her drawings. We cannot wait to open our doors to the public in early September!!
